Quick page layout

Did a quick layout using the new stampin up colours and DSP.  Used the flower bloom punch and stamp set and petite stamp set.
Used the banner punch to cut out the banners and an A4 picture.  Loved the way this turned out.

Have removed the faces to protect their identities.

Hanging displays

It's been a hot few days, but not so in my new studio with its air conditioning!
Spent a couple of hours during the evening after work and did four pages of project life of pictures of the Stampin Up Telford event.

Today in the warm sunshine, I finished off my hanging decorations.  I bought them from a cheap shop for about £3 and they were just a photo of rustic stitched hearts.  So I painted them white a couple of times with some gesso.  I then cut some card the size of the piece of wood to cover it.
I first stamped the image on the card before gluing to the wood.
I did one using the retired sunflower stamp (I bought this just before the catalogue retired because it's such a nice stamp) and the daydream medallions.  I used the new hello honey, daffodil delight and crushed curry, and centre of sunflowers smoky slate. I used the floral framelits to cut out the medallions. I stamped out the sunflower again and hand cut these out and layered them all up using foam pads.
Really pleased with the way it turned out.

Stamped in hello honey:

Medallions layered up, love the colours:

I then did the same with butterflies.  Used the large swallowtail butterfly and stamped in lost lagoon and perfect plum. For the centre square, stamped the larger butterflies using the stamp off technique.  Inked up the stamp and stamped three times to get three different shades of the same colour. Then punched them out and layered up. The small butterflies just stamped once, and punched out and layered.

I hope you like them.

This morning I found a perfect picture to go in my studio to go with the beach theme from the range, saw it the other week and thought I must have it, love it.

Project life

Been playing with project life today.

Really easy concept, a bit different to scrapbooking.  Good way to use up lots of photos about a specific event.  I chose the race for life event that I participated in recently.  These are the results.

New crafting space

My new crafting space is finished!

I absolutely love it, now comes the hardest bit, what do I put in it and where?

This is the outside:

And this is the inside:

It's looking a bit empty, as I haven't put any crafting bits in yet, except for the furniture.

I'm christening it "The Beach Hut" as I have tried to keep to the beach hut theme, note the blinds, and there will be table covers to match. (The tape will come off the windows, it's in the process of being painted on the outside).

Just waiting for the air conditioning to go in now, yes "air conditioning"!  (It will be the heating in the winter though).

Now, where do I start...........

Undefined stamp carving

Had a go at stamp carving.  Someone asked me if I had a football stamp, which I didn't, so thought I would give it a go and make my own. Worked ok, I think.  The hubby recognised it without telling him first what it was supposed to be, so that must be ok!

Looks a bit scruffy, but the end result is ok.

Sample storage

Came up with a good idea.  I've loads of Graze boxes and have been keeping them a while for a good use.   Just found one! I used some to decorate for a workshop recently, but have decided to keep my samples made for workshops etc in by category.  I've stamped on simple copy paper ( can't waste posh cardstock on a storage box!), and stuck to the outside of the box.  The stamps relate to the workshop or cards inside.  An A5 card fits inside nicely.

Birthday card and present using new colours

Have just made this lovely card and bag using the new Stampin' up colours blackberry bliss and mossy meadow.  Just love the blackberry, but I seem to get covered in purple ink every time I use it! Lol!
The card I CASE'd from one I saw on Pinterest, sorry don't know the source, but the bag, was from papercraft button (link to her blog below).  She has some great tutorials on you tube.

The stamp sets used were a new one "something to say" and "work of art", "everything Eleanor", and retired ones "perfectly penned" and "bring on the cake".

Gems and brads I found in the cupboard, don't know where they came from!

I hope you like them, and she likes them too.
